December 2020

Last year we spoke with families in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and we found out that some women and families were not aware of different options for place of birth.
Also, Covid-19 has meant changes when choosing a place of birth, especially during first lockdown when some services were suspended.

The Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) would like to hear about your experiences (especially in the last 6 months) to help improve maternity services:
🔹What was good?
🔸What, if anything, wasn’t good?
💡 What ideas do you have for improvements?

What is the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire MVP?
MVPs are NHS working groups that aim to review and improve maternity services by putting the experiences of women, birthing people and their families at the centre.

Who are we? We are a team of…
🔹Professionals (such as NHS, City and County Council) who work in our local maternity system
🔹 Local charities that support new and expectant parents
🔹 MVP volunteers
🔹 Parents who’ve used maternity care from Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
