Why volunteer with us?

The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is a team of professionals and local people. Our goal is to improve local maternity services so that families and babies can have the best health outcomes. We do this by putting the experiences of families at the centre of our work.
In England, health outcomes are not the same for all. The risk of Black, Asian and minority ethnic women and babies dying during pregnancy and childbirth is up to five times higher than for white families. The Coronavirus has also affected Black, Asian and minority ethnic pregnant people more. We need volunteers to help make the maternity experiences of local people heard. Working as an MVP volunteer can be a very rewarding experience.
